Volume 5 - Issue 2

September 2016
Our second regular issue of 2016, we interview Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino, who explains his holistic approach not only to player wellbeing, but the health of the club as a whole. The Spurs boss often spends 12 hours a day at the training ground and demands the same kind of commitment and intensity from his players, but also his medical staff, who provide exceptionally detailed and integrated care for the squad. Articles include the evolution of natural grass playing surfaces in elite football, the effects of ischaemic preconditioning on performance and imaging of the hamstring muscle complex in elite athletes.
