The latest issue of our journal, Targeted Topic: Sports Medicine in Handball, explores the evolving physical demands and training load monitoring in elite handball. It examines injuries from youth to senior players, with a focus on upper limb injuries and patellar tendinopathy. The issue also addresses imaging, injury prevention, and the role of physical conditioning in rehabilitation. Unique insights include preparation for beach handball, referee health, and the adaptive handball program for people with disabilities: the HandbALL IN Project. Additionally, expert interviews with handball coaches Bojana Popovic and Helle Thomsen provide valuable perspectives on the sport.
